• Challenge:

    The challenge was to create a modular visual identity system for the Breakthrough Energy Summit that could evolve with the event in future years. Another challenge came from the overlap between the development of the visual identity and the preparation of the event space, requiring tight coordination between teams. Additionally, working with multiple international agencies presented its own set of challenges, given the global locations of the partners involved.

    Role:

    As the lead for the visual identity process, I was responsible for creative direction, coordination, and execution from the RFP stage to the launch. I worked closely with Lucas Fleischer, Head of Content and Creative at Breakthrough Energy, to ensure the visual identity aligned with the company’s broader strategy. Throughout the process, I managed collaboration with several key partners, including the in-house Breakthrough Energy team, Metric, and Øyedrops for motion design.

    Outcome:

    The visual identity system successfully captured the essence of Breakthrough Energy’s mission while being flexible enough to evolve with future events. The system was consistently applied across print, digital, and motion elements, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic experience at the Summit held at Tobacco Dock in London.
