Project Impact
We unified Breakthrough Energy's digital presence, making it accessible, visually cohesive, and more effective in communicating its mission to reduce global emissions to net zero. The redesigned site positioned the organization as a thought leader through a modern newsroom and portfolio of climate tech companies backed by Bill Gates and Breakthrough Energy. View Site

Challenge
The website lacked a consistent identity and clear user experience, limiting its ability to inspire entrepreneurs, policymakers, and the public. Before the project could even begin, internal stakeholders across content and creative teams had conflicting priorities and unclear direction about what needed to change, creating friction that threatened to derail the redesign.

Approach
I facilitated a discovery session with the Head of Content and Creative, Director of Content, and their teams to align on priorities and build consensus. This session provided the clarity needed to establish timelines, strategy, and execution plans. I then managed resource planning and progress reporting to the communications team and Breakthrough leadership. As Lead Brand Designer and Art Director, I conducted stakeholder interviews and accessibility audits, restructured content hierarchy, and created a digital newsroom and company portfolio that enhanced mission storytelling through cohesive visual design.

Result
Cohesive visual identity across all pages that strengthened Breakthrough Energy's brand presence.
Improved accessibility and user engagement through clear information architecture.
Modern newsroom and portfolio hub that positioned the organization for thought leadership.
Strategic alignment across teams that enabled smooth execution and on-time delivery.
